Blingo Launches New Search Engine...Well, Kind Of

Wednesday March 30, 2005
I received this press release yesterday from the powers that be at Blingo: "New search site Blingo (www.blingo.com) is officially launching its Internet service today. After five months of successful beta-testing, Blingo has refined its search service with three important enhancements:
  • Search results are now powered by one of the world’s leading search companies (this would be Google)
  • The prize pool that visitors instantly qualify to win is now significantly larger (I like prizes)
  • Blingo Friends, a new feature, makes it even easier to win (I like easy winning too)
This little search engine is powered by Google, which begs the question why would you use it, if you could just use Google? Well, to win prizes, of course. Last I checked you could win some sweet stuff, like an Apple IPod. I plan on checking it out purely for that reason.
