Thank a Vet Today
Thursday November 11, 2004
If you're reading this in the United States, then today is Veteran's Day; a day we set aside to think about the sacrifices our fighting men and women have made over the years to give us freedom.
Top Five Ways to Celebrate Veteran's Day
- Thank a vet. We all probably have someone that we know who has served our country to help make it a better place. Honor those who served.
- Participate in your community. Check your local newspaper and attend a Veteran's Day event. Take your children, and talk about what Veteran's Day means.
- Educate yourself. Do you know why we celebrate Veteran's Day? You can learn more from this article.
- Talk to your kids about veterans. Children get the day off from school, so instead of watching five hours of cartoons, check out our children's resources and learn right along with them.
- Take a moment of silence. The official moment of silence is at 3 PM local time. Take a moment.

Thank You to ALL Vets.!
