Eavesdropping Online: Part of SEO?

Saturday October 23, 2004
Have you ever wondered what people are searching for online? With all the statistics out there that speak of the many hours folks are actually on the Net, it might be interesting to find out. I know that for myself, there are about ten sites that I check every single day to see what's new-so I'm relatively boring. However, if you really want to people-watch, Ask Jeeves has a nifty little feature that allows you to see what people are searching for in real time, as well as the top searches for that week divided into topics. It's cool. Plus, with the holidays coming up, if you have a business website and are looking to increase sales, this might be a very useful tool to see what customers are looking for. Put optimizing your site for search together with serving the customers' needs, and you will have a winning combo!
