Google Launches Desktop Search Tool

Friday October 15, 2004
Google has introduced a local hard disk drive search tool, hooked to the online search engine, that will enable users to choose between local and online searches. The company promises that this tool will enable you to find your email, files, web history and chats instantly, view web pages you've seen, even when you're not online, and search as easily as you do on Google. It's a free download. I think it might be worth giving a try, especially for those of us who tend to inconveniently misplace extremely important emails from their mother-in-law...not that I'm speaking personally, of course.
